4 Social Distance Party Tips
Obviously you have to stay safe but you also need to stay in touch with friends and family. Here are a few ideas that I have seen over the past few months that make great social distancing parties.
1. The Usual Choice
Zoom Calls: You can have unlimited one on one calls and 45 minutes with groups (which is probably a good way of cutting the conversation before it drags on and people start wondering how they can subtly escape). To make it even more special you can book a Zoom based performer to entertain you all, giving you something to talk about after the show.
2. Drive By
Surprise them with a quick drive by celebration, stay in your car, turn up the music, and exchange some gifts without getting too close or staying too long.
3. Trucks
Food truck or drinks vans: you can stay outside and have the food and drinks come to you, it’s far easier to stay at a safe distance from each other when you can stay out in the open. Plus you can make the most of the summer weather.
4. Picnics
For a while now people have known that you need to stay outside in the fresh air to make sure you have enough safe space. Picnics are the perfect option, bring some snacks, some drinks, and some chairs, pick a wide open area at a park and chat. If parks are not for you then book a well sized camping spot and everyone can bring some tents and gazebos, that way you can let the party go on all night.
